Any of various solid or semi-solid amorphous fusible natural organic substances that are usually transparent or translucent and yellowish to brown and are formed especially in plan secretions, are soluble in organic solvents but not in water. Any of a large class of synthetic products that have some of the properties of natural resins, but are different chemically.
