Stair Treads

Stair treads provide safety for end users. With growing attention to the safety of flooring surfaces, more designers and owners are looking to installed resilient stair treads as a safer walking surface in stair wells as opposed to carpet, paint, plain wood or plain concrete steps.

Resilient stair treads are rubber or vinyl, most often used in commercial applications, although residential use of stair treads is another and more durable option to carpet. In general, rubber treads are the choice for heavy traffic areas and vinyl treads are generally for light duty use. Rubber offers more options of color, texture and profile so for commercial flooring contractors, that’s the product most often specified and installed.
