CALHOUN, GA.—Business may be tough, but smart companies know things will turn around and they need to be ready for it. With that, the Faus Group announced it is investing $40 million to expand production at its U.S. manufacturing plant here. Gonzala Frey, Faus’ CEO, said the motivation behind the expansion is to achieve manufacturing proficiency and knowledge from Europe to Calhoun, and increase in its manufacturing capacity. “The increased production volumes will provide the consumer with more cost-effective, high-end laminate flooring.” The installation of its fourth press and second milling line will give Faus the capacity to produce 100 million square feet per year of high-end laminate flooring, he added.
