BOSTON, Ma. September 24, 2014- Karastan and Massachusetts-based retailer Landry & Arcari recently teamed up to sponsor New England Home’s 5 Under 40 Awards. The winners were honored at a celebratory reception on September 11 held at Landry & Arcari’s downtown Boston showroom.

The winners of 5 Under 40 were nominated by their peers and then selected by an all star-panel of regional designers. The designers are forerunners in their fields, turning heads with their design work in the realm of interiors, architecture, landscape, furniture, home design products, and accessories.

Over the course of six months, each of the five winners designed a rug, which was hand-woven on Landry & Arcari’s GoodWeave-certified looms in Nepal. The completed rugs were displayed at a 5 Under 40 Awards ceremony and then actioned off with all proceeds benefiting Barakat, a Cambridge, Massachusetts based charity that works to empower education in women and children in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
