Several factors can change floor coloring.  In most cases it is caused by a chemical reaction attained by using rubber or latex backed mats and area rugs on top of vinyl.  Other factors can be sun light, cleaning products, and bottom up staining.
Acclimation is the time a product needs to "get accustomed" to the humidity levels and temperatures in an area that it is going to be installed.  Some products take several hours, others may take a few days.
Laminate is a product made of three layers.  The main body is a high density fiberboard. Next is a print layer.  Following the print layer, is a wear layer.  The products come in a wood or tile look.

Linoleum is a type of flooring that was invented by accident in the late 1800's.  It is made by combining cork dust and linseed oil.  It is still made today, and is a great alternative to vinyl sheet flooring.  Linoleum is a floor that rquires more maintenance then a "no-wax" floor, and is very environmentally friendly.
