The performance and quality of a carpet is directly related to the amount and quality of fiber that goes into the pile. The better the fiber and the denser it's packed, the better it will perform. Low quality carpet will be thin and light-weight. If you fold the carpet, you will be able to see the backing. The low price may be tempting, but remember: it will lose it's surface appearance faster,so you'll have to replace it sooner.

Quality carpet pad is essential for the best comfort and durability of your carpet. The pad absorbs up to 90% of the impact of foot traffic, and without it the carpet pile and backing have to take all the pounding. This cushioning effect can add up to 50% to the lifespan of your carpet. Cushion also creates a softer, more comfortable walking surface amd insulates against the cold and minimizes noise.

Feel free to bring in paint swatches, pillow covers, whatever you want to coordinate with. Our expert sales staff and interior decorators will be glad to help you coordinate your colors. If you're undecided about colors, we also carry wallpaper and blinds, and have paint samples from local paint stores we can help you shop with.

A few years ago, carpet was always sold by the square yard. In the last few years, retailers began selling by square foot, to make it easier for customers to understand, and so that customers can compare the value of carpet to hardwood, laminates and ceramic, which has always been sold by the square foot. To transpose square foot pricing to square yards, divide the total square footage by 9. To transpose square yards into square footage, multiply the square yards by 9. Remember that carpet rolls usually come in 12' or 15' widths, so the actual size you may need to order may not match exactly to the square footage of yor room.

We require a deposit at the time of order. The balance is to paid on the date of installation or pick up. For installations, you can either give the installer a check or money order, or call the store with your credit card information. Cash payments or financing options should be settled at the store before installation.

Generally, it takes about 10 days from the date of order. Many factors can affect the shipment date, including stock availability and the mill the product is coming from. If you need it sooner, we would be happy to put a rush on your order or you could choose from our large selection of in stock flooring.

We have a large selection of in stock carpet, vinyl flooring, laminates and wood and we can install it for you within 2 days. Also, because we have daily shipments and we work with the largest mills, we can usually get your floor covering in pretty quick, although we can not make guarantees on arrival time for special order flooring.

Before the installation, you should be clear with your salesperson as to who will be removing the old flooring and furniture or appliances. The installer will only remove the old flooring and furniture if directed to on his work order. You may opt to do this yourself, or your sales person can arrange for this to be done when writing up your order. You should remove any breakables and small items and unplug electrical cords and appliances.
