Travertine is a natural stone that is porous and needs to be sealed. Travertines have several colors and lots of variation within a single color. Please ask a salesperson to see several samples of the same color before placing a order.
Nylon is a fiber that makes up the construction of certain carpets. Nylon is resilient, durable and static free. This fiber tends to maintain its color longer because it is dyed after production. It is good for soil reistance and cleans easily.

Solid wood's composition is made from a single piece of  hardwood. Because it is solid it can be sanded and refinished over and over. Solid wood expands and contracts with the climate control and humity in your home. When considering a solid wood,one must also keep in mind the height difference it has from your existing floors.

Engineered wood is made with 3-5 layers of hardwood.Each layer is stacked and bonded together. This method will typically be less likely affected by changes in humidity.

The time frame on recieving materials is usually a standard 3-5 days.
Our sales team will work with you in every possible way to assist you in making this process very ,easy for you. Samples, in most cases, can be mailed directly from the mill.
Gen's Floor Covering requires a 50% deposit prior to ordering materials and the remainder is billed to you upon completion of your job.

Gene's Floor Covering offers a one year labor warranty.
It normally takes 3-5 days to recieve in non - stock material and your job can be schelduled for install after that point. Gene's Floor Covering will make every effort to begin the installation in a timly manner.
Absolutly! We do everything from carpet re-stretches to installation of an entire condo project.
We have a quality control person who goes behind our installers and checks every job upon completion. You are also given a courtsey call to ensure that you do not have any questions rearding cleaning and maintenece of your new floors.
Porcelain can be ,installed in exterior areas ,and ceramic is not recommended for exterior appliation. Ceramic is clay based composition and porcelain is the same color throughout. However, they have started manufacturing a ceramic / porcelain mix. It has most of the benifits of a porcelain with the price point of a caramic.

You never want to use a oil based cleaner to mop tile. Always rinse with clean water, changing your water at least every 250 s/f, depending on severity of floor and wipe floor dry to avoid any haze. Ammonia, soaps and oil based products will discolor grout. Soap-less detergents such as white vinegar, diluted 3 to 1 (3 parts water and 1 part vinegar), are recommended for mopping non-porous surfaces.
