A wood floor adds an undeniable charm to any room - it transcends over time. The physical properties of wood that attract us most are: natural warmth and beauty, fits any decor and is uniquely versatile, easy maintenance, can be restored, refinished and recoated, environmentally friendly and adds value to your home.

These days, you can install a high quality wood floor just about anywhere - from a converted attic to a finished basement.

Most hardwood flooring sold today is prefinished. That is, several coats of UV-cured polyurethane are applied at the factory. Installing a prefinished floor eliminates the time, the dust and the odors associated with the on-site sanding and finishing of an unfinished product. A prefinished floor can be installed in a day. An unfinished flooring installation may require up to four days, depending upon the space.
Generally, the harder the wood the more durable the floor.

Hardwood flooring can actually cost less than other types of flooring because of its renewability. Hardwood floors never have to be replaced and will enhance the value of your home should you decide to sell. When compared to other flooring products, hardwood floors provide long-lasting value.
