At Village Carpets' Flooring America, we care about our environment and we are doing our share to help protect it.  With growing concerns about global warming, energy and other environmental issues permeating our daily lives, we all must do our share to help.

At Village Carpets' Flooring America we are proud of our efforts and wish to share them with you:

• We have greatly expanded our product offerings to include many more "Green" seal products:
  • Many new and fashionable carpet styles made from recycled fibers
  • Many natural fiber carpet styles including wool and sisal
  • Fashionable, beautiful cork flooring - harvested from the bark of the Cork Oak tree.  It is a natural, renewable product that causes no harm to the tree.
  • Renewable and fashionable bamboo flooring
  • Many laminate flooring choices contain over 70% recycled products in their cores - earning them "green" approval

 

• We are currently recycling all foam and rebond cushion we remove from your home including the trim and scrap pieces from your new installation - this means that thousands of pounds of foam each month do NOT go to the landfill!

 

• We have teamed with a company in Los Angeles that recycles the fiber in your old carpet.  We store it in large trailers and they haul it to their facility for recycling - this means thousands of pounds of carpet each month do NOT go to the landfill.

 

• We have retro-fitted most of our old flourescent lighting fixtures with new energy efficient flourescent fixtures with electronic ballasts - this greatly reduces our energy usage for showroom lighting in both of our locations.

 

• Randy Wood - the owner - has installed solar energy panels at his home.  This has cut his electricity use by 90%!

 

• We have just completed the conversion of one of our company vehicles from gas power to battery electric power.  We hope to use Randy's solar energy to power this vehicle for years to come - without gas and with zero emmissions!!
