It is impossible to give you an exact time of day for installation other than A.M. or P.M.. However, you may call the morning of you installation to get an approximate time.
You must move all small items, such as books, lamps, dishes, collectibles, clothes, shoes, etc. before the installer arrives. We move furniture only. There will be an extra charge for large, heavy items such as pool tables, pianos, hospital beds, appliances, etc. We do not move waterbeds or gas appliances. We do not disconnect or reconnect cabels for electronics (television & stereo equipment, computers). When carpet is to be installed, baseboards must be installed prior to the carpet. Also, any shoe mold or quarter-round must be removed prior to installation of carpet.
We must have electricity and water at the site of installation. If we must use a generator because there is no electricity, we will charge an extra $45.00 per day. We must have access to water to mix levelers, thinsets, grouts, etc. and clean off tools.
We cannot guarantee carpet seams to be invisible. Visibility of seams will vary with the type and color of carpet purchased.
We remove the old carpet from the jobsite free of charge, unless other arrangements have been made between you and our salesperson due to special circumstances. If you want to keep the old carpet, please let the salesperson or installer know before they begin your job.
In some cases it is ok for new vinyl to be installed over to old vinyl. The salesperson will be able to tell you if this is possible for your job. There are special steps that need to be done before the installer can put down new vinyl over old vinyl. If we are installing vinyl on top of your existing vinyl, you should clean the floor prior to installation to remove any waxes, grease or dirt. Ammonia and water is often effective for this.
Ronnie's Carpets guarantees all installations for two (2) years unless stated otherwise. If you have any type of complaint with your floorcovering, please call us as soon as you notice the problem. We want to correct it.
When estimating for new flooring, it is impossible for our salesperson to see underneath the existing floorcovering. In order to provide you with a quality floor that will last, it is sometimes necessary to make repairs to the subfloor that were not evident until the existing floor was removed. (Examples: Water damage, cracks or unevenness, wavy concrete, movement in the floor, etc.) When these types of problems are encountered, we will charge for our time and material only. You will be contacted for approval before we go ahead with any work which is not included in the original contract.
We strive to give you the best service possible but there are a few areas we do not specialize in, and may need attention after your installation is complete.
When purchasing a flooring which is thicker than the existing floorcovering, interior and exterior doors may need to be cut off so that they will open and close properly. We do not provide this service. Also, thresholds may need to be replaced with a different type. These types of services are available from most carpenters and handymen.
We also will not be responsible for wires or cables running down baseboards, around walls or under carpet, tuning of pianos, disconnecting & reconnecting electronic equipment, leaks from the tank to bowl seals in toilets, or minor damage to fresh paint.
